Joo Siang Ng
Co-Founder of PhenoSign

Joo Siang Ng, Co-Founder of PhenoSign, holds a B. Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With over 20 years of experience in research, technologies, design, and development of medical devices and life science solutions, his expertise includes molecular diagnostics and medical device development, particularly in photonics and advanced microfluidics. He has been the pivotal force behind the innovative core design and foundational business concept at PhenoSign, capitalizing on more than 15 product development cycles.

Dr. Andreas Häberli
Co-Founder of PhenoSign

Dr. Andreas Häberli is Co-Founder of PhenoSign. He holds a Ph. D. degree in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich. After starting his career as chip design engineer in Silicon Valley he was the Chief Technology Officer of a public listed company before he co-founded PhenoSign. He has a wealth of experience in
microsensors, microelectronics, security, and cloud-based offerings.

Dr. Christina Louise Schofield
BioOptoFluidics Scientific Engineer

Christina holds a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology (2018) and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Glasgow (2023). During her Ph. D. studies she developed a novel in vitro model of the blood-brain barrier, with an emphasis on simplicity and cost-effectiveness for high throughput drug testing and disease modelling.

Noëlle Moser - van der Geest, MD
Business Development

Noëlle holds an MD from the University of Zurich and has an eight-year tenure as a clinician, during which she gained extensive experience in high-pressure environments such as Emergency Departments and Intensive Care Units. Noëlle is working on a mandate basis for PhenoSign. She is managing our community of health care providers and Key Opinion Leaders to make sure our roadmap is driven by the needs of healthcare professionals.

Arnold von Eckardstein, Prof. Dr.
University of Zurich, University Hospital Zurich

Arnold’s career is distinguished by significant roles and achievements in the medical field, particularly in clinical chemistry. Since 2001, he has been a Professor of Medicine at the University of Zurich and the Director of the Institute of Clinical Chemistry at the University Hospital Zurich, in addition to his role as Co-Director at the University Center for Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. His previous positions include being an Associate Professor at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in 2000 and holding various roles there and at its associated hospital from 1988 to 2001, including Attending Physician and Deputy Director. His early career saw him involved in research and residency at notable German institutions.

Romain Quidant, Prof. Dr.

Romain received a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Dijon. In 2006, he was appointed Professor and group leader of the Plasmon NanoOptics group at ICFO, Barcelona. In June 2020, he was appointed a full Professor at ETH Zurich where he leads the Nanophotonic Systems Laboratory. His research focuses on nano-optics, at the interface between Photonics and Nanotechnology where the unique optical properties of nanostructures are used as enabling toolbox to design solutions ranging from fundamental physics to biotechnology and medicine lab-on-a-chip applications.

Daniel Shoukier, MD
CEO of the Bellingswood Group

Daniel is an experienced entrepreneur and business angel. He is a medical and regulatory expert with over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and acts as business advisor for several medical startups. He possesses in-depth knowledge of medical device development from conception to market release, as well as post-market follow-up. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in serving as a lead auditor for several notified bodies within medical devices and invitro diagnostics. He is also an expert for MDR, IVDR and FDA regulations.
